buenos dias!

well it's been an interesting first couple of days. i love it here- the people are very warm and friendly and the city is bustling and full of life! i'm probably pretty sheltered however to the poverty and lesser sides of tiajuana, but i've enjoyed my stay here so far. lastnight we took our japanese consultant to a sushi restaurant. yes, sushi i mexico, i live on the edge! the weirdest things i tried were: salmon eggs (gross, gross, gross, don't EVER eat them), octopus (better than expected), and then just run of the mill sushi type stuff, tuna and salmon, some dumplings, california roll, tofu, etc. nate got to hear all about it when i talked his ear off for an hour or so lastnight ;) but that's all the time i have to update for now :) more later!

I'm glad you are having fun, Bri! This friend of mine from LA told me in Tiajuana there are donkeys painted to look like zebras and you can sit on them and have your picture made for $5. I dont know if he was telling lying. But he is one of those "truth is stranger than fiction" kind of guys. (A walking example of it even.) So who knows. If you see any, please take a picture of them for me. :-)
