the search for horace

'who's horace?' you might be asking yourself...horace is our thanksgiving turkey. this year, due to my mother's recent avid pursuit of all things organic and soy, a fresh organic turkey was requested. after a sequence of events involving a requisite pre-order of said turkey and a family characteristic of procrastination, no turkey was found. a few frantic monday morning phone calls and we found horace. not organic, not fresh, but a frozen natural turkey...company motto? our turkey's don't do drugs. that's right, no 12-step program for this turkey, horace is antibiotic free and free range. all 17 pounds of him now resides in our fridge, defrosting away.

in a very twisted sense, eating a free range turkey is kinda worse than a non-free range turkey.

you see, the free range turkey has lived a comfortable happy life, pecking at grubs, pooping turkey poop, intercoursing with a turkey spouse, having turkey children, etc. etc.

all until evil bri comes along and kills it to eat for her thanksgiving meal.

it kinda makes me sick just thinking about it. that's right, no free range turkeys for me, thank you very much.

i'll be eating tofu carved into the shape of small french bulldog.

HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY! SAY HI TO YOUR MOM FOR ME.
